Because of scheduling problems the concert and workshops have been moved to Sunday, April 10 at the same times.

I’m very proud to announce our first concert at Shelest Music Workshop.

For the first show I thought it appropriate to invite the band that I have been playing with for the last few years called Truth. Truth is a high energy world rhythm fusion band that has played many events including the Montreau/Detroit Jazz Festival, the Flint Jazz Festival, Sterlingfest, as well as many others. They are a very talented group and I am very proud to be a part of it.

We are also offering a group of workshops on the day of the concert featuring each member of the group. The group’s leader Miguel Gutierrez will be doing a drum and percussion clinic. Jimmy Blues will be teaching a piano class, Andy Lloyd (who plays a 12-string bass) is doing a bass clinic, and I will be doing guitar.

These events will occur on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

Workshops will start at 4:30 and go for about an hour or hour and a half.

Concert will start at 7:30.

The cost is $10 for the workshop, $10 for the concert, or $15 for both.

Please sign up ASAP (there may be handouts available before the workshop).
